Harry Oehlert, Founder

Under the watchful eye of his grandfather, who was a millwright, and his father, a boilermaker and machinist, Harry Oehlert (“A-Lert”) grew up learning to work with tools about the same time he learned how to read.  With this strong foundation laid, in 1974 Harry started his own construction company, providing both commercial and industrial construction services throughout southeast Kansas, and charted a path for what would later become A-Lert Construction Services.

From its rural Kansas roots, A-Lert Construction Services began with a simple idea—that a mobile labor force of skilled craftsmen, capable of being dispatched on short notice to all types of industrial construction or repair projects, would be of great benefit to customers. 

Guided by the shared values of its founder, A-Lert Construction Services has grown from a small, regional contractor to a diversified, multi-craft, national construction company with offices in Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, and North Carolina.
